If you are not a morning person, this one is for you. Very much so when you love staying up all night and feel drained in the morning!

The urge to snooze the alarm is tempting when you want to lay in bed all day, but with daytime responsibilities and so much work to do, I know it sounds impossible to just pull over your sheets and continue to hibernate. The first thing in mind is we must keep it moving! But we probably had those mornings when we feel tired and restless, regardless of how much sleep we got.

So if you find it hard to get up in the morning and face the day ahead, here are 5 not-so-secret hacks to help you wake up feeling refreshed and energized:

1. Drink a glass of water

After sleeping for hours, it is normal that you get dehydrated with no fluid intake, making you feel more sluggish and cranky. The refreshment of drinking water will help you get awaken, and it will stimulate your system.

One more tip is to place it meters from you so you will have to get up and walk a distance. Keeping your body active will encourage you not to go back to bed.

2. Stretch out

Moving your body awakens your senses. A simple stretching, gentle yoga, or outdoor walking while getting that Vitamin D will not only get you relaxed but will also help you become more energized throughout the day. Also, these are great forms of stress-relieving activities!

3. Splash your face with cold water

Washing your face in the morning will make you energized and invigorated. Instead of a cold shower, this 1-minute hack will produce the same stimulating effect! 

4. Have a good nighttime routine

As they say, a good day starts from the night before. Creating a healthy nighttime routine that caters to your needs will contribute to the quality and quantity of your sleep, consequently affecting your mood in the morning. Set your alarm clock at the time you really NEED to wake up, and don't hit the snooze button. I know it is so tempting to do that, but it would make you feel more restless the more frequently you try to delay your wake-up time.
