Why You Shouldn't Drink Anything 2 Hours Before Bed

Not drinking enough water leads to a bunch of health problems such as constipation and urinary tract infections. But chugging down water just before you sleep is also probably not the best move.

Knowing the right times to drink is key to ensuring you get the sleep you need while keeping your health in tip top shape. Here's some tips we gathered:

Don’t drink anything in the last 2 hours before bed.

If you have to get up at night, it can be hard to get back to sleep quickly.

Keep a nightlight in the bathroom.

This minimizes bright light if you do end up having to go pee in the middle of the night.

Cut down on salty foods.

Especially as the day progresses. Too much salt will hike up your risk of dehydration, making you thirstier than usual.

Ensure your sleep environment is between 65-68 degrees.

This keeps your body temperature cool enough so you are less likely to set and lose more moisture than necessary.

So, I challenge you to start with one of these actionable tips and then go from there!
